having followed, and been inspired by alternative processes for many years, I was thrilled to be invited to be a part of their exhibition at the photobook café exploring exploring the intersections between alternative processes, photobooks, DIY publishing, sustainability, archives, and community-led practices
using alternative photographic processes makes me feel somewhere inbetween crazed scientist and magical craftsperson
this exhibition truly captured this feeling, offering visitors a view of the many strands that weave into the photographic sphere, and the opportunity to join into this realm through community workshops
as I am in a phase of experimentation with process and form, where aesthetic becomes a surprise crafted by methodology, it was truly joyful to see my work alongside other artists thinking through their medium
